Foreign to Domestic:
ground up branding + site design

Working on this project even made me want to travel! Foreign to Domestic approached me as a brand new business, requesting my guidance and creativity in all aspects of the project.

I created a brand guide, logo, business cards, postcards, and a responsive website that enables clients to explore itineraries and book trips through Foreign to Domestic’s services.

Process and designs

The need

Foreign to Domestic needed everything – a brand identity and a website. They wanted to showcase their rich travel services which include custom and existing itineraries, hosted trips, constant trip support, and everything in between required for a successful trip.

Items designed:

  • Logo – stacked and horizontal (for social media)

  • Color palette – that showcases their favorite places they’ve travelled to

  • Brand guide

  • Business cards

  • Marketing materials

  • Website – fully responsive with expansive imagery

Using place to inspire the design experience

I experimented with different color palettes, using photography from the owner of Foreign to Domestic. She sent me images of some of her favorite travel locations, so I pulled colors from these photos. The focus was on natural colors that felt clean, organic, and trustworthy.
